Giving Bad News
if you have to provide some reasons for bad news, you may use :

I regret to tell you that we have to increase the price.

.I am sorry to advise you that…

I am sorry to advise you that we have to raise your price.

Giving Reasons
Usually reasons come with bad news. To dedicate the reasons, you may use :

.We are unable to …. Because of …
We are unable to send the goods on time because of the bad weather.

.We have been forced to…, because…
We have been forced to raise our prices, because the government has increased the sales tax.

.This is due to… / owing to... / as a result of… / because of…
