每當打開收音機時，總會聽到廣告。每當走在街上時，總會看到廣告。一頁頁的報紙夾著滿滿的廣告單。而電視節目則每幾分鐘就被廣告打斷。許多廣告誠實地廣告產品，消費者也往往從中獲益。然而，誇大產品用途和品質，甚至替產品說謊的廣告，我們卻得忍受這些問題。廣告是現代經濟不可避免的象徵，無論我們喜歡與否，它們已經成為生活中的一部分了。
You hear advertisements every time you turn on the radio. Your eyes are greeted by advertisements when you go out onto the streets. Pages and pages of newspapers carry nothing but advertisements. And TV programs are interrupted every few minutes by advertisements. Many advertisements are honest about the products being advertised, and consumers do benefit from them. However, there are often advertisements that exaggerate the uses and qualities of the products or even lie about them, and comsumers have to put up with them. Advertisements are an inevitable feature of modern economy, and as such they have become a part of out life no matter if we like them or not.
